Party Planning & Ideas

It’s my party…

Parties are always a great thing in life. There is always a reason for celebration. Whether that celebration is for a birthday, wedding, holiday or even a new tattoo, planning and throwing a great party is great fun! There are always a million different roads you can take for a party, but choosing what road to go down is always the best part. And there are even people who are paid to help you decide what you want and in the long run help you to get that. This makes party planning a can do for almost anyone who has the want to throw one!

What to do?

Parties are always a great idea when you first have them and can be easily put on, but the middle part, the planning part, can always be a little tough to get started. And everything can change depending on the party you are throwing. Here are some questions you need to ask and answer before you start buying the streamers. What are you celebrating? Is it going to be a day or night party? What is the age range of this party? Is it geared toward children, teens or adults? What is our budget? Who is helping you? What is your role? Going off some of these questions should be able to help you start planning the party of your dreams, or the dreams of whoever you are planning it for!

If you are going for a birthday party it is important to know the age of not only the birthday girl or boy, but also of some of the people attending the party. If this is a party for an adult, but you know that a lot of children are going to be I attendance, then it might be a good idea to have something there to keep them entertained. Maybe try a small craft or art table. Having goody bags for them is always a good idea or an organized game. You could also rent a bouncy castle and they can play on that for a few hours. And bets are on that the adults at the party will have a fine time in the bouncy castle as well.

If the event you are planning is a wedding, then you should go off of the theme that the bride and groom have chosen. If you are the bride or groom, a great idea is to hire an actual wedding planner who can help you out with all the tasks of planning a wedding. If idea’s for weddings are something that you are looking for here are a few. Try an old fashioned wedding with all the classic songs, dances, and the classis something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.

Holiday parties are always a give in. And they are also some of the easiest parties to plan because they are centered around one basic idea or theme. The tricky part is taking the same old, same old and every year party, and making it one for the books. You can do this a couple of different ways. You can order someone to come in and professionally make and serve drinks for you. You can also change up the games. You can do the gift exchange like everyone else and their mom or you could be the one who makes a scavenger hunt to the gifts. This is your choice. Have fun with it!

Parties are again a time for celebrating something, so make planning and throwing your party a fun time. Do not worry too much if something does not go the way you planned or you get ‘off schedule’. Just roll with the punches of life and do not let anyone see you sweat!
