This can be brought on by sitting too straight or abruptly. You can get two types of treatment. There is surgical treatment, where they go in and remove the coccyx. Non-surgical treatments could include sitting on a doughnut shaped pillow so the coccyx is not hitting the couch or chair. If you are using the bathroom and there is tailbone pain then a stool softener may make it feel better. Your back should always be in an āSā shape when sleeping. You also want to make sure that your mattress is not too hard or too soft because this can also cause pain in the back. If you have back pain or want to prevent it start exercising. Do some cardio or yoga. Maybe even pick up tennis. Anything that will help your back and strengthen it is beneficial when you are either having issues or want to avoid them.
